Launch of the Warehouse and Warehousing Standard for Bagged Cereals and Pulses

Uganda Warehouse Receipt System Authority (UWRSA) on its 3^rd Annual Stakeholders meeting in Jinja, conveyed to Uganda, “The Warehouse and Warehousing Standard for storage of bagged cereals and pulses.

The standard that was launched by Hon. Amelia Kyambadde (Minister for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives), will help improve the quality and conditions of  storage for cereals and pulses.

This is mainly to preserve quality and safety of value (Commodities).

It will act as a guide to the private sector who would like to invest in Storage Infrastructure either by expanding capacity or development of new capacity
