Sensitisation for the Political Leadership of Teso & Karamoja Regions by UWRSA

Uganda Warehouse Receipt System Authority (UWRSA) in conjunction with the District Commercial Offices organised a sensitisation meeting for the political leadership of Teso and Karamoja Regions.

The one (1) and half day conference meeting was held at Landmark Hotel, Soroti District from the 10th – 12th of July, 2019 and it comprised of RDCs, CAOs, LCVs, DCOs, MCOs from all the Teso and Karamoja Regions Districts (Soroti, Kumi, Katakwi, Kaberamaido, Serere, Amuria, Bukedea, Ngora, Kapelbyong, Moroto, Kotido, Nakapiripirit, Kaabong, Napak, Abim, Amudat and Nabilatuk).

The meeting was officially opened by the Resident District Commissioner of Soroti District and the objectives of the meeting were:

• To introduce Warehouse Receipt System to the political leadership of the greater Teso and Karamoja Regions
• To establish dialogue on how to effectively implement the Warehouse Receipt System in the Regions.
